Wow, fabric galore! Mine is going to the German church service with my father at the local Lutheran church -- I speak German and he was brought up Lutheran, so we have a good time.
My favorite holiday tradition is loading the kids in the car and driving around looking at the Christmas lights. Something so serene about dark winter nights and Christmas lights....

I just signed up to follow your blog, too. Looking forward to getting to know you!
This isn't a Christmas tradition since we don't celebrate it, but on other holidays I love just getting together with family and having our favorite pancakes. :)

I'm looking forward to starting a new holiday tradition this year, with my two kids under 2, of driving around to look at Christmas lights.
I love your fabric. I'm busy creating new traditions with my sons at the moment. They're really enjoying the advent calendar for the first time this year. I made it when I was 14 so it's special to me.
Very cute!
My favorite tradition is exchanging jars of green olives with my sibs and mom. It's become a traditional gift over the years, because when we were young, it was a real treat to have a bowl of olives with Christmas dinner. Funny that olives were a luxury - I'm old!

I'd love the fabric! Okay, maybe not my favorite but the most memorable: my dad manages a store and on the way home from the extended family gathering he'd stop at his store and make us kids get out and collect shopping carts (every year!). Silly Dad!

What a fabulous give away....I'm loving those charm squares and yardage! My favorite holiday tradition at Christmas is getting together with my hubby's dad, sister, brother-in-law and nephew and all tramping out to the Christmas Tree farm to pick out and cut down our trees. Then we all head back to my FIL's house for homemade soups, sandwiches, cookies and a nice crackling fire to nap or play games or cards. It's something we all look forward to every year!
Thanks for the awesome give away and the chance to win. Merry Christmas to you and your family and all the best in 2011!
Cyndi
i love reading the Christmas story on Christmas eve and having the kiddos act it out - it's just beautiful. :)

One of my favorite traditions is my girls' advent calendars. They're playmobil, and we use the same ones every year. It's so much fun to see the same old friends come out slowly over the month, and it never ceases to amaze me that my girls pop out of bed and run down to open them - even though they know what's in there! The magic of childhood, no?
Your prizes are all lovely, but I would faint if I got that big pile of recess in the mail.
I signed up to be a follower as well. Welcome to the blogging world!
Wow, that's a lot of fabric!
My grandfather was Danish, so we celebrate with the Nisseman coming to fill the baskets hung on the tree with candy and on Christmas Eve have rice pudding. Whoever finds an almod gets a prize.

making cookies. and lots of them. Thank you for the chance to win!
I love this line of fabric! My favorite holiday tradition is eating oyster stew with my husband's family every Christmas. My father-in-law started making it for my husband's family when he was a little kid, and now that he has passed away, my sister-in-law carries on the tradition. Every time I eat the soup now, I think of my father-in-law and it just seems like the essence of Christmas.
My favorite holiday tradition is baking cookies and giving them to our friends and neighbors. I would love the fabric! Thanks for the chance to win. Happy Christmas. stephspitzer at gmail dot com

I LOVE the fabric. A family tradition passed from generation to generation to remember the depression, recessions, and hard times - there may not have been money for toys or things, but there was always an orange in the toe of your stocking. SO an orange is always in the stocking toe.
One of my traditions is I just have to watch A Christmas Carol (Scrooge) I have watched it every year since I was little and still look forward to seeing it, it doesn't matter which film it is I will watch them all!! As I don't have children (or grandchildren) I would prefer the fabric if I was lucky enough to win.

those are great fabrics. Oh what to do with them!??
For the last 17 years, I've worked with an agency to sing in a wandering Old Fashioned Carolers Quartet. That it was gets me into the season. I love when people smile and make requests for their favorites. Yep, that starts the season for me.
thanks for sharing
This is so generous! Thank you for the chance.
My favorite holiday tradition is from when I was a kid. My mom made us serve dinner at the homeless shelters to remind us what the season is about - giving and sharing and the warmth of the human spirit. Today my daughter and I don't serve dinner every year, but we do give to the community through a service of some kind be it taking donated items to the local nursing home or donating to a family in need. I try to expose her to everything so she remembers what this is about as well, and fosters a love of human kindness and outreach.
Thanks for a great giveaway! All the best to you and yours this season and always. xox

Wow, this is an amazingly generous giveaway and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the fabric. My family is from the mid-west so we generally celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve night. This allows everyone to sleep in on Christmas Day before starting to bake for our traditional open house. It was always a really nice way to celebrate with both family and friends. Thanks for the chance to win!

My favourite tradition is totally bizarre - for reasons totally mysterious to everyone, we have to decorate the tree at my parents' house while listening to 'It's Raining Men' by the Weathergirls. If we can't find the tape with it on, we can't even put the lights on the tree. I love it!
Thanks so much for the chance to win.

Every year, my dad and I get together and make the same cream pull candy that my Nana used to make. I know that she would be proud that her tradition lives on with us. We seem to be the only ones in the family who can or will do it, as it's a bit fiddly.
We always have a live tree or a branch off a live tree for a Christmas tree so it's decorated the week before the 25th and comes down on the 2nd January. It also leaves a lovely smell through the house :). The fabrics are lovely.
Wow, those fabrics are amazing! :)
My favourite tradition is my husbands and mine baking day a week before christmas. The apartment smell lovely and the cakes and breads aren't bad either... :D
Wow! The fabric squares are great! My favorite holiday tradition is baking day. My sister and I used to go to my grandmothers every year and her kitchen would be piled high with cookies! Now its our turn to do the baking. Some spiced wine simmering on the stove and fresh baked cookies are the perfect way to celebrate the season.
My son was too little lst year for starting traditions but we have started heaps this year that I hope to continue. we decorated the tree and let him but the things on, the made and decorated a gingerbread house, we played with a nativity set. All these things can be seen on my blog!

Love the tutu bag!
Every Christmas Eve, my family goes to a service at our church. After the service, they always hand out tealights in a glass. Since I was a kid (and my dad says he remembers doing it as a kid too), we always had a little contest to see who could get their candle home lit and then whose would still be lit on Christmas morning when we woke up.

I love the fabric! Thank you so much for the giveaway. You are very generous.
The fabric is wonderful. One of my favorite traditions is unpacking and setting up our music box nativity scene - when no one else is home - and winding it up/playing Silent Night. Then, it is right there when the family comes in the door for their turn.

I am new to this seasons celebrations so am finding my way...my son and i found some solstice/xmas fairies and pixies in our steiner shop and we have made them a house under our tree. Everything's always so busy leading up to the day, and it's so nice and calm and quiet afterwards, with everyone just spending time together and properly relaxing. Lovely. Thanks for the giveaway chance!
My favorite holiday tradition is burning all the wrapping paper in the fire place at my dad's house after we open presents.
Thanks for the giveaway! Robyn (dot) Geddes (at) gmail (dot) com
My fave holiday tradition is lighting bags with candles in them on Christmas Eve in my neighborhood. It's so pretty when everyone participates and it looks like an airport landing strip really. It's sad when it's too windy for the bags to stay lit -- it doesn't feel like Christmas somehow.

I would like to be in the fabric draw. Thanks :)
My favorite tradition is when we would fill up a thermos with cocoa, and take cups, and get in the car. Dad would drive first through our development (or neighborhood) and then others, he'd drive slow, so we could all ooh and ahh over the houses and their decorations or lights. We would do this one evening during Christmas week. This was in the mid-late 60s. I did it with my kids also, but they hit the "oh mom, this is lame" stage long before I did...in fact I PERSONALLY still love to do this. :)
Thanks, Susan

We are allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve- our Christmas pajamas a tradition my mom started 20 years ago. One year she decided that we hated this tradition (4 of us 7 kids were teens) only hear us excitedly talking about it the day before Christmas Eve and she had to rush out and buy them at the last minute. kcarlson1152[at]hotmail.com

Hello, Merry Christmas! Thanks for offering such a great giveaway.
My first favorite tradition is getting to decorate and see all the ornaments of years past. Most are handmade by me and my family. Everyone of them is a memory. Some are so tattered and worn, but something I'll cherish forever, like a tatted christmas ball my Grandma made, she passed a while back but I will always have that to remind me of her.
My 2nd favorite tradition is making silly gifts for my family. Well any gifts really, but the sillier the better. For instance I made a piggy with wings as an ornament for my husband, and for a lecherous old lout of an uncle I made him a giant pair of felted breasts... to rest his weary head on of course.
Great prize options! My favorite holiday tradition occurs on Christmas Eve. My husband, daughter, son, and I would always select one gift to open. We'd enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, and I would always read "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Even after the kids were teenagers, this routine didn't change. Afterward, we'd all climb in the car and drive through town admiring Christmas lights, especially downtown. We live in a small town. Our very charming courthouse square is beautifully decorated every year. Our kids are now grown, and our daughter is married. Our son still lives at home while he's attending college in Little Rock. On Christmas Eve, we'll continue our tradition, though our daughter will be away with her husband and his family. It wouldn't be Christmas without carrying on with our routine, but if my men don't listen to me read the story, I am certain that my parrot and dog will!
I am a new follower. Thanks for participating in Giveaway Day!
The fabric is fantastic!
My favorite Christmas tradition is celebrating our proposal anniversary every year, after the littles are safely tucked away in bed. My guy proposed by tucking the ring box into a box of chocolates, so every year he gives me chocolates and we reminisce by the light of the tree.
My family always plays some sort of game (it varies each year) – charades, Monopoly, Pictionary, Trivia Pursuit, Scrabble. We laugh and laugh at each other (especially during charades and Pictionary). We have such fun. Dmj53(at)hotmail(dot)com

the family potluck/buffet at my grandmothers - she's no longer around but we try to get together and do it when we can. :( I miss those giant parties.
We have many traditions (zoo lights, special Christmas Eve meals, etc) but my favorite one is making a huge batch of sugar cookies and decorating them with all the kids (my daughter and all her cousins) every year. Yum!

My favorite Christmas tradition is the day after Thanksgiving we decorate the house and put up the tree. Then, a week or so after Christmas, we take the decorations down and we takes the ornaments off the tree, the we re-decorate it for January with blue ribbon and snowflake ornaments.

One of my favorite family Christmas traditions is getting out the old family cookie recipes and dividing the baking assignments between all the girls (you don't want my brother baking ANYTHING) and then having a big cookie swap. We get to have all our favorites with a minimal amount of work!

I'd pick the fabric but all 3 items are great! Some of my favorite traditions are going to the Christmas Eve service, coming home for a family dinner, and each opening one gift.
Beautiful fabric. We go look at holiday lights every night after dinner. We all have our favorites, and sometime we find new neighborhoods that become our new favorite.
Sew cute fabric!
My favorite new Christmas tradition (since I've had my own family) is going for numerous carousel rides downtown. We don't do any shopping, just ride :) And it is special since this carousel is the old horse-sleigh kind and is brought out only for the holidays. We do continue with all the traditions from my family and some from my husband's as well. This one is all our own though.
thank you for the giveaway and for being willing to ship internationally because i'm from Portugal :)

My favorite is the day spent with family. Presents, brunch, cooking, eating, cleaning, nap, walk, leftovers, and then games. A familiar pattern.
my favorite holiday tradition is getting together with all my family and "partying"... it's the same every year: christmas eve at my parents' house with all my mom's side of the family, christmas morning just the immediate family, christmas brunch with my dad's side of the family, and christmas dinner with my mom's family and uncle's family combined. lots of family... but that's awesome.
